NEWS AND NOTES
TRUNK OR TREAT- Your help (and car) is needed. On October 21, St. Paul’s will be hosting
its Trunk-or-Treat from 11am-2pm. We are in need of people to host cars in our parking lot. Look
for the sign-up sheet in the back of church. Please start inviting people!
WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS – How old were you when you last took catechism class?
How many years have gone by since then? Think of how your perspective on life has changed, and
all the questions that have come up since then. On Wednesday mornings at 10:00am, Pastor
McKenney will lead a review of catechism class. There is NO memory work, quizzes or tests. All are
welcomed and invited. The class is held in the school library.
NEW CHURCH SERVICE SCHEDULE - Services will be Saturdays at 4:00pm and Sunday morning
at 9:00am and we will stay with this schedule all year.
LITTLE SPROUTS – A friendly reminder that Little Sprouts playgroup meets every 1st and 3rd
Thursday of the month from 9:30-10:30am @ St. Paul’s school. For all little ones ages 0-5 and their
caregivers. Please join us and bring a friend – Everyone is welcome! Summertime Little Sprouts are
the same days, times and place as during the school year.
WORSHIP ENCOURAGEMENT – The Board of Elders is seeking friendly members for a
Worship Encouragement Committee. It would consist of 8-20 members who would meet regularly
and focus only on encouraging members who are not coming to worship. A general goal would be to
contact members who were not at worship for the month by email, text, phone call, letter, or a home
visit. The goal is to be encouragers for one another. “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are
in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…” (Hebrews 10:25) Please sign up on the list
at the communication center or talk with pastor.
ST. PAUL’S WISH LIST – Our leadership is putting together a wish list for anyone who wishes to
donate funds or purchase a gift for our school and church. Projects already on our list include: new
desktop computer for church secretary, new DVD/BluRay players for our shut ins, a new playground
at school for preschool ages, donations to our Early Childhood Fund, donations to new landscaping
for school in spring, and donations and gifts for our school lunch program. If you have and questions
or suggestions, please talk with a pastor.
