Mr. Peter Kavicky

Principal

Mr. Kavicky feels blessed to be called to serve as principal at St. Paul’s. He has served as a preschool teacher and Early Childhood Director and continues to teach PreK during the first half of the day. Mr. Kavicky graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, attended Concordia University Wisconsin for state license certification, and holds a master's degree in education from CUW. His additional duties at St. Paul’s include Athletic Director, and he enjoys coaching and building relationships with all students in the school. He is happily married to his wife, Anne, and has been blessed with two wonderful children, Winry and Stanley. Some hobbies include playing guitar, trap shooting, camping, and going on walks with the family. Mr. Kavicky is very excited and thankful that he gets to be a part of the St. Paul’s family and team!

Mrs. Anne Kavicky

7th-8th Grade

Mrs. Kavicky is excited to be joining the St. Paul’s family as the 7th and 8th grade teacher and science teacher for the upper grades. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2012 then spent the first 10 years of her career teaching high school science. Mrs. Kavicky has been blessed with a wonderful husband, Peter, and two children. She looks forward to serving and sharing the gospel with the students and families of St. Paul’s.

Miss Vicki Jensen

3rd-4th Grade

Miss Jensen taught at Gloria Dei in Belmont California from 1991-1994; then she moved to Lincoln Heights Lutheran School in Des Moines, Iowa and taught Grades 1 through 8 from 1994 to 1998.  In 1998 she began teaching at St. Paul's and currently teaches 3rd and 4th grades and is also our Music Coordinator.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Dr. Martin Luther College.  She holds teaching licenses from the states of Iowa and Wisconsin. She is certified by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

 

Mrs. Beth Vertz

1st-2nd Grade

Mrs. Beth Vertz has been teaching for 15 years. She graduated from DMLC in 1989 and was assigned to teach at St. John's in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She taught there two years before she married Tod Vertz in 1991. During his vicar year in Kenosha, she taught at First Lutheran in Racine, Wisconsin. Pastor Vertz's first assignment into the ministry was to a three-church parish. Two congregations were in South Dakota and one in Nebraska. They lived there 5 1/2 years. During this time she started her own in-home daycare watching many children. The Vertzs then moved to Reedsburg, Wisconsin. They lived there 13 years. The last seven years there, she taught at St. John's, Baraboo. In 2012, they moved to Grant Park, Illinois. They were there 5 years, the last two she taught at Trusting Hearts Preschool and Kindergarten in Palos Heights, Illinois. Pastor Vertz and Beth have been in Sturgeon Bay for nearly four years where Pastor serves at Salem. Beth has taught the last three years at Zion in Egg Harbor. The Vertzs have three children: Laura (Shane), Michael (Megan) and Sara (James). They also have been blessed with two beautiful grand-daughters, Lydia (8 months) and Emery (1 month). Mrs. Vertz is very excited to get to know her new class and their families as well as work together with the other members of the faculty to share the love of Jesus with His lambs.

 

Mrs. Tina Callaway

Kindergarten

Mrs. Tina Callaway has been in the classroom for 20 years teaching His little lambs.  She attended Dr. Martin Luther College and graduated in 1992.

She has taught grades 5&6 in Montello.  Kindergarten & Preschool in Oakfield.  Kindergarten & Preschool in Brownsville.  Also she served as a lead teacher at  Jesus’ Little Lambs in Fond du Lac.

Mrs. Callaway was born in Eau Claire Wisconsin, and had the privilege of attending St. Mark’s Lutheran grade school. She then moved on to Northland Lutheran High School in Wausau, where she graduated in 1988.  She finished her education at DMLC in New Ulm Minnesota.

Mrs. Callaway met her husband Kurt while attending college.  Kurt currently is the 5&6 grade teacher at St. John’s in Two Rivers.  Tina and Kurt have two grown children.  Alexandria is a recent graduate of Concordia Nursing school and is currently an RN.  Their son Thomas is a welder at Ariens Corporation in Brillion.  The Callaway’s love taking family vacations to Disney World.  They also have taken several trips to Germany and would love to go back again soon.  She also loves to find antique treasures, and attend and sell at flea markets.

Mrs. Callaway is excited to return to the Kindergarten classroom.  Her favorite thing to teach is Word of God.  She loves to share the stories of the Bible with her students.

Mrs. Beth Moll

Mrs. Moll began teaching preschool at St. Paul’s in 2008 and has been blessed to see many of her students, including her own daughter, graduate from St. Paul’s. She earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Los Angeles Pierce College and is currently furthering her education at Concordia University. She previously taught art and music at Messiah Lutheran school in North Hollywood, CA.  In addition to teaching preschool, Mrs. Moll also teaches Sunday School, manages the Destination Imagination program, and maintains the school library.

Mrs. Moll was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Wisconsin, Tennessee, and California. She lives in Algoma with her husband, Pastor John, and her daughter Rebekah, who is a student at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. They also share their home with four cats: Zina, Smaug, Sylvie and Mando, and an African clawed frog named Luna.

In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, singing, hiking, baking, reading fantasy and mystery novels, crafting, visiting museums and traveling, especially to visit her many siblings.
